Podcasting

These sermons are available for download from the site, but are also available as part of a podcast.

A podcast is rich media, such as audio or video, distributed via RSS. Feeds like this one provide updates whenever there is new content. The best way to subscribe to a podcast is using an application called a podcatcher. These are applications that can subscribe to an RSS feed, detect the audio file, and download it to your computer or portable audio device (iPod, etc).

By subscribing to the podcast, you are automatically notified when a new sermon is posted on the site and can download it to your computer.

To Subscribe With iTunes
You will need the address of our podcast RSS feed in order to subscribe:

  1. Open iTunes and look for the “Advanced” menu at the top of the application window.
  2. Select Advanced, then select Subscribe To Podcast.
  3. Copy the URL above and paste it into the text field.
  4. Click OK.

That’s it! You should be taken to the “Podcast” area of iTunes and see the FBC Birmingham podcast listed with the option to download our past sermons.
